shoes are like buses. you wait ages for one and then two come along at once. well that is the case for me here. let's just say these days my retail therapy has pretty much consisted of baby wipes, nappies and the great hunt for ashton and parson's teething powders. gone are the day of frivolous buying and now i only buy what i truly love (and what my bank allows ;)
so i'm going to introduce you to the two new loves in my life...
i've been pining for a pair of swedish hasbeen's for some time now. i'd had my eyes on these beauties last year, i waited for them to go into the sale as this mama doesn't have shoe funds like that anymore (or ever for that matter!) but alas it wasn't to be and i couldn't get them in my size. so when i saw these red stunners, and lets be honest more practical ones heel wise, it was love at first sight, confirmed more so with a 20% off and free delivery from office. just as those stylish swedes proclaim, these really are ridiculously comfortable. they are going to be my summer staples. please scotland can we have a summer this year, pretty please.
and then last but by no means least...
i love the whole studded look, but like with any trend it's EVERYWHERE. complete overkill. but these, i'll make an exception. the nude studs had me at hello. they're not crazy high which is a winner with me and i felt they were a total steal at under £40. zara, you never let me down.
so there they are, my two new loves. oh and i think this is a new favourite quote...
I love those red ones! I would want them in a nude color though so I could wear them with everything, so cute!
ReplyDeleteis it bad that even though they're red i'll wear them with everything?! ;) if the snow decides to go that is!!
Deletelove both pairs...but that last pair, i've got a few dresses to go with those babies!!
ReplyDeleteha ha all we need now is for spring to show up and snow to sod off! we want to wear dresses and nice shoes :)
Deletewhohoo!! YES, these little things need to be celebrated! I remember when my husband asked what I wanted for my birthday last year and I gave him some nonsense about wanting this particular set of wood blocks for Mateo. Whoa. Definitely need a few pretty things for ourselves. :) And nice job for getting a pair of bold red and COMFORTABLE sandals! And yeah, I can't own enough nude shoes. So flattering. I'm totally with you on the "right" height. I love heels, but I'm quite tall as it is and I just don't need to sprain my ankle while carrying a child and bag everywhere. :)
ReplyDeletetotally agree we need to not to forget to treat ourselves occasionally! the running joke in our house is that caleb has a better wardrobe than the pair of us put together!
DeleteLove both of these! Would it be crazy to buy the Hasbeens at the end of the summer, to wear with tights? Probably. But they are gorgeous...
ReplyDeletedo it, do it! they're probably on sale too which never hurts ;)
Deleteoh and i wear my with tights and my oh my are they comfortable. yes i am so getting old when i describe shoes as comfortable!
