the last time you were on this balcony little guy you were in my tummy.

it was the last weekend in march 2012, the weather was glorious and you had decided to stay put. so there was nothing left for it, walking and moving had become somewhat of an issue for your mamma, so with the help of grandma liverpool we took up residency on the balcony. me with my raspberry leaf tea, grandma with an ice cold cider (clearly the better drink of the two!), and a deck of cards. even though at the time i moaned, and moaned some more about how uncomfortable i was, when i look back it was one of my favourite times with my mum. we laughed, we chatted endlessly, we talked mostly about you and what you were going to be like. now here we are almost a year later, and I've got a new balcony buddy! your face when i first took you out was a picture, so serious, so unsure, but that didn't last long. you stood , you sat, you played, you watched the cars go by and the birds tweeting in the sky. i have a feeling sitting on the balcony will be our new favourite thing. mum, we've got a spot waiting for you too :)

  3. Love your hair! I keep pinning all of these braided hairstyles on Pinterest. Need to bring it into REAL LIFE! :) Your boy is adorable. Writing from Chicago where we just had a bunch of snow dumped on us yesterday. Probably a bit before we're on our porch! :)
